EConGrid receives funding from the Market Development Fund

EConGrid has received funding from the Market Development Fund for a large-scale test of our product for supplying regulating power from backup batteries

After a successful test period, we need to test our products in a larger scale and will test both installation methods and our aggregator software during the project. The goal is to mature the product and gain both experience and references for the immediate subsequent commercial deployment.

The product makes it possible to use surplus capacity of existing backup batteries to supply regulating power for balancing the grid. We see it as an important component to utilize existing equipment in order to support the green transition, beneficial for our customers as well as the environment.

EConGrid participates Ancillary Services and Demand Response Management Forum

Last week, EConGrid participated in the 2nd Annual Ancillary Services and Demand Response Management Forum in Berlin. We participated together with 4o experts from European transmission system operators, distribution system operators, balance responsible parties, utilities, aggregators and other interested parties from across the industry.

The main topics presented and discussed at the forum were successful integration of demand response in the ancillary service market and the best practices of new balanced market design.

The increasing need for flexibility and balancing markets are becoming major issues to stakeholders. A lot of value that can be created in enabling new actors in the ancillary services market arena. The benefits are great: increased overall stability of the network, overall efficiency of markets and improved customer value proposition.

Diversity of expert contributions, panel discussions as well as lively debates and networking with international participants gives us a lot of inspiration for our future work and development in EConGrid. We are proud to be one of the European pioneers in exploring and creating the value of demand side management and look forward to set this into operation for the benefit of our customers.

EConGrid participates in PP-day at the University of Southern Denmark

On April 20, EConGrid once again heads out to meet students at the Danish natural science educations. This time we are going to the University of Southern Denmark in Odense, where EConGrid participates at this year’s Internship and project day.

As the name indicates, the purpose of the day is to establish contact between students and companies for future internship / project stays. EConGrid is looking for someone who wants to learn, but also takes responsibility and wish to test his or her acquired theory.

Is this you? Then send us your application and CV or come by and say hello at PP-day if you are a student at University of Southern Denmark.
